Walsin Lihwa¡¦s two steelmaking plants respectively in Yanshui and Yantai produces stainless steel and alloy steel of many different specifications. Round and square billets can be made into straight bars, wire rods, various forged items, and steel pipes or tubes. Flat billets are the material for hot-rolled coils or medium thickness plates, and can be forged into flanges and large machinery parts.
Products include 160mm, 180mm, 200mm and 240mm diameter round billets, which are made into bars and wire rods by rolling, and sold to the forge industry for processing into various forged items. They can also be processed into seamless pipes and tubes. Square billet sizes include 130mm, 140mm and 155mm, with lengths from 3,000mm to 12,000mm.
The slabs feature alloy stability and precision with thickness of 175 and 200mm, widths within 800~1300mm. Except forging into flanges and large machinery parts, the slabs from this plant are primarily the material for sheets in coil (black) or plates, which are processed by re-rollers into cold-rolled steel sheets in coil.
In addition to stainless steel billets, carbon steel products produced by the Yantai plant include 10#, 20#, 27SiMn, 45#, Q345B, 45Mn2, 37Mn5, and 40Cr, round billets of £p110, 120, 130, 140,150, and 160. The carbon steel products can be tailor made to customer specifications, and they are primarily be made into straight bars, various forged items, and steel seamless pipes or tubes. |
